The handcrafts of the region are famous all over the world for their originality and colorful shapes; you will find also beautiful silver and pewter. There is a great variety of art galleries and jewelries at Playa del Carmen, where you can find original pieces encrusted with precious and semiprecious stones. As a fact the stones at the Yucatan peninsula are very famous: amethyst, opal, onyx o turquoise refulgence and engrain bracelets, necklaces and silver earrings.
